Independents’ Day 2009 is only 5 days away!  The music committee needs some help running the main stages and the band merch tent. We need:

11 a.m. - 2 p.m.  Stage hands/Floater-parking

2-5 p.m.  Merch tent/Stage hands/Floater-parking

5-8 p.m.  Stage hands/Floater-parking

8-11 p.m.  Merch tent/Stage hands/Floater-parking

All volunteers will also get an ID09 tshirt!

The weather is going to be beautiful! This event starts at 2 pm in the Fireproof Storage parking lot in the Short North on the corner of High and 2nd…it’s free, all-ages and chock full of music, art, food, fun and of course, lots of PBR! PBR is generously donating the proceeds from the beer truck to the CMC and Couchfire Collective, so you can have fun and support art and music at the same time! SEE YOU THERE!

Independents’ Day is a simultaneous effort by active and creative people of Columbus to display their talents and abilities. An all-for-one, one-for-all mentality culminates into a day-long explosion of creative spirit.  ID09 is September 19, 2009, downtown on Gay Street, Pearl and Lynn Alleys between 3rd and High!

The Columbus Music Co-op is happy to once again be helping coordinate music and the band merch tent.  We’ll be bringing you 2 main stages of awesome local music featuring 20 amazing Columbus bands! Additionally, Gay Street art spaces the Shelf and Skylab will host music and there will be an acoustic side stage in Lynn Alley!
